I just had an JRSC installed on my 1999 integra GSR about one month ago. Since it's been in there I've had this odd problem. At first when I recieved the car it pinged under load and the check engine light came on. Two days later the check engine light went out and never came back on. The pinging I believe was due to a lean mixture so first I installed the jackson fuel pump which solved some of the pinging. Later I installed the AEM high volume fuel filter and high volume fuel rail. That solved my pinging problem.
This is my problem that still exist. After the car has been running for a while,I'll shut it of,come back to the car after about half hour, start the car, about one to two minutes later it will start to stall and stumble for about 15 to 20 seconds. After that it will smoothen out and run fine. It happens every time only once the car is warmed up. Has anyone else ever have a problem like this and what did you do to fix the problem. I don't know what else to do. I'm almost ready to take the JRSC out of my car.

People probably need a few more details on your setup to be able to help.

From what you said, I would check the plugs and distributor etc to make sure they are fine. Are you running colder plugs?

    What timing are you running?

Also, Are you running a MAP mod, BTC or other engine management?

    Hey, thanks for replying.
    This is what I have.
    CAI - AEM
    DC 421 HEADERS
one step colder of spark plugs
    Jackson fuel pump
    AEM high flow fuel filter
    AEM high flow fuel rail
    8 degree timing
    that's all I have done.
    no BTC or Map
Do you think that could be a problem?

Did this problem start occuring after you installed the AEM rail?

There are a few things that could be causing this problem.

if you don't have ignition management, where is your fuel management?

The problem started once the JRSC was installed. I put in the fuel rail after thinking it would help.

I think a MAP mod could possibly help. On the dyno, my shop couldnt believe how much the piece made a difference with the overall tuning. They sell really cheap on ebay, you may want to check it out. I dont know if it will solve your problem, but pretty much everyone on this board runs one (or they have HONDATA or some other management). Plus, you wont get tip in detting as much.

your injectors also may be bad (hence the ping under load??? Maybe??) I am not a mechanic, just trying to use some common sense here. A trip to the dyno with a wideband may help shed light on what is going on with the car.

Will a Jackson MAP Controler take care and eliminate tip in detonation all together? I want to know if it's worth the investment.

The JR Map controller will not eliminate all tip-in detonation, especially if you have higher boost levels (ie. 9psi). . . but it IS a worthwhile investment. It will definately help to reduce most, if not all, tip-in detonation on lower boost levels.
